KERNERSVILLE MORAVIAN CHURCH MISSION STATEMENT
Rooted in the Moravian tradition and energized by Christ’s love, we actively build a supportive and ministry-focused church that strives to transform the world into the Kingdom of God. With a passion for service, we welcome all who seek a relationship with Jesus to join us in developing and living out our faith as we share God’s love with the Kernersville and global communities.

In essentials, UNITY;
in non-essentials, LIBERTY;
in all things, LOVE.
OUR BELIEFS
The Moravian tradition is one of the world’s oldest Protestant denominations, dating back to pre-Reformation Europe.
We believe that Jesus Christ is present among us through His Word and the Sacraments, guiding and uniting us through His Spirit to shape us as a church. We listen for His call, following Him in faith and praying that He will work through us to share His love with the world.
Through Christ, we are joined together as one body, one community, called to serve and support one another. As we grow in faith, we come to understand that His love is not just something we receive. It is something that transforms us, shaping our lives and inspiring us to extend grace, kindness, and compassion to those around us.
Jesus calls each of us personally, leading us to recognize our need for Him and to embrace the redemption He offers. In walking with Him, His love becomes the foundation of our lives, changing us from the inside out and guiding us to live in His light.
MORAVIAN COVENANT FOR CHRISTIAN LIVING
The Moravian Covenant for Christian Living is a guiding document that has long shaped the life and faith of the Moravian Church. It reflects the Moravian belief that faith should always be relevant and meaningful in the present.
By embracing these principles, we seek to grow in our relationship with Christ, strengthen our community of faith, and live out His love through our words and actions.
OUR HISTORY: A CHURCH BUILT ON COMMUNITY

Our story began with the Körner family in the 1840s, who at that time were having their minister pay regular visits to Dobson’s Crossroads to preach. After the Civil War the Kerners held a meeting where the decision to establish a church was put into motion. By 1867 the community had built a fine brick church on a property that had formerly belonged to John F. Kerner.
At Kernersville Moravian, we believe that faith is meant to be lived out together. We are a welcoming congregation where people from all walks of life come to grow spiritually, build meaningful relationships, and serve others.
From Sunday worship to community outreach and our music ministry, we strive to be a church where people can find belonging and purpose. Whether you’re new to the Moravian faith or have been part of our tradition for generations, you’ll find a place here.
