WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR FIRST VISIT
We want everyone visiting to feel as comfortable and welcomed as possible. Here’s what you can expect when you join us at Kernersville Moravian Church.
Service Time and Structure
- Sunday Worship: Our service follows a traditional liturgical style, beginning at 10:00 AM and typically lasting about an hour. You can get a sense of our worship by viewing our videos on our YouTube Channel.
- Sunday School: We offer adult classes from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM and age-appropriate classes for children during the second half of the worship hour. It is a time for learning more about Jesus and building meaningful relationships with our brothers and sisters in Christ.
- Atmosphere: Inclusivity is a major focus of our worship. Our members span all age groups and backgrounds.
- Wear what you like. We do not have a strict dress code, and we welcome you to come as you are.

We’re proudly located in the heart of Kernersville, on the very ground where our forefathers first broke soil to build the original church in 1867.

For Families and Children
- Inclusive Worship: Children of all ages begin the service with the congregation. Midway through, they are invited to a dedicated children’s area for age-appropriate activities, except for infants who may remain in the nursery.
- Godly Play: Our Sunday School program, known as Godly Play, is designed for children aged 2 and above, fostering a creative and engaging exploration of faith.
- Nursery: A safe and nurturing nursery is available for toddlers, staffed by caring professionals.
Accessibility
Our church is equipped with an elevator to assist those with limited mobility. You can find this elevator inside the door at the left corner of the parking lot off Cherry Street. That entrance is labeled “Preschool/Elevator”. We also have handicapped parking spaces in all the parking lots on the campus with easy access to the building.
Fellowship Time After the Service
On a regular basis we have a Fellowship Time following worship. This is a time to enjoy some light refreshments and an opportunity to meet members of our congregation as well as our pastor and staff. It is also a great opportunity to learn about upcoming community events and explore how you might want to be involved.

What else should I expect as a visitor?
There are greeters at the Main Street and Cherry Street entrances on Sunday mornings who can direct you to where you want to go as well as answer any question you have. We promise that during worship we will not make you stand out. You are invited to sign our worship registers along with our members to help us know who is in attendance and who is sitting near you. There is a place to check if you would like more information. Someone will contact you regarding your request.
