Kernersville Moravian Church cherishes sharing the Christmas season with our whole community. While public health precautions make it impossible for us to gather in the sanctuary, this year we will offer 2 ways to celebrate Christmas through worship with us.
A virtual Christmas Eve Lovefeast Service will broadcast on YouTube on December 24th at 5pm. You will be able to access it through our website – by clicking here – or via the special Christmas Services button on our homepage or via the Kernersville Moravian Church YouTube channel. To make this service feel a little more like the in-person experience and to invite our community to join with us, the congregation will be providing lovefeast buns and candles, free of charge for pickup prior to the broadcast of our service between 2-4pm on the 24th on the Cherry Street side of our parking lot.
An outdoor Candlelight Service will also be held on December 24th at 8pm on the church grounds beyond our Picnic Shelter. We will offer both a “walk-in” option and a “drive-in” option for this service. You can dress warmly, bring your own lawn chair (blankets welcome), and walk to the socially distanced seating area or you can follow our parking helpers out to the area that will be designated for parking in the field and remain seated in your vehicles for the service. If you attend this service, we ask you to place a sign on your dashboard that reads either “DRIVE IN” or “WALK IN” prior to entering our parking lot to help us with traffic flow.
Please note that we’ve reached full capacity for reservations for the outdoor service on Dec. 24. If you have not reserved a spot please check out our online service which will start airing at 5 pm on Christmas Eve.
During our “lovefeast to go” pickup and as folks arrive for our outdoor service, we will still be collecting our traditional offering for Christmas Eve of financial contributions that will be divided amongst our local ministries of Crisis Control Kernersville, Sunnyside Ministry, Shepherd’s Center, and Next Step Ministry. We appreciate your support of these agencies as you worship with us!
